[mɔdja'no], Patrick, französischer Schriftsteller, * Paris 30. 7. 1945. Im Mittelpunkt seiner Romane, deren historische Rahmen häufig die Zeit der deutschen Besetzung Frankreichs während des Zweiten Weltkriegs und die Judenverfolgung bildet, steht die qualvolle Suche der Figuren nach ihrer Identität. Auch Kindheitserinnerungen des Autors spielen oft eine Rolle.
